Universal Provident
Universal Provident was formed in 1994 from offices in Fleet Street. In 1996 the head office in Blackburn was set up and over the next few years all the administration functions were brought in house. Since then we have continually built on our expertise with more of our outsourced functions being handled directly. In December 2004 Universal Provident were acquired by the Personal Group who specialise in employee benefit solutions.
Personal Assurance Plc was established in 1984 as an authorised insurance company. Since then it has developed into a group of companies providing accident & health insurance, employee benefits, financial advice, and personal insurance and reinsurance broking services. It has approximately 250,000 individual policy holders and deals with over 390 employers across the UK.
In January 2008 the Universal Provident operation was moved in its entirety to the Personal Group Head Office in Milton Keynes.
Universal Provident Products are underwritten by a number of insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates.
