NHS PLUS
NHS PLUS is a completely new and radical approach to private medical insurance. Instead of trying to replace the existing benefits and facilities provided by the NHS, NHS PLUS provides the means to enhance these services and to plug any shortfalls.
If in-patient treatment is required and this is not available from the NHS within 90 days of a specialist deciding that it is necessary, we will pay for the treatment to be undertaken at a private hospital within 30 miles of the patients home.
In-Care
For those concerned about the cost of purchasing a comprehensive private medical insurance, In-Care gives full cover for in-patient and day-patient treatment costs, but achieves significant savings in premiums by excluding cover for out-patient treatment – an area that traditionally generates a large number of smaller claims. Importantly though, full cover is provided for out-patient oncology, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Premier Care
Premier Care combines the benefit of a comprehensive private medical insurance with the flexibility to vary certain important aspects of cover such as the hospital scale, the level of excess required and the method of underwriting applied when taking out the cover. Cover is arranged on a full refund basis for in, day and out-patient treatment, with generous limits applying to complementary medicine, outpatient physiotherapy and private ambulance cover.
Total Care
Total Care is a unique approach to health insurance in the UK. It combines the benefits of a comprehensive private medical insurance, including cover for psychiatric illness, with cover for major dental expenses and Living Care (as described below). Total Care is designed to provide complete peace of mind.
Living Care
Living Care is designed to help provide for the costs of on-going care following a serious, life-affecting disability or accident. The policy will pay a sum of up to £20,000 per annum once you are unable to perform certain activities of daily living (including mobility, dressing, feeding and personal hygiene) or suffer mental impairment. Benefits will continue all the time the disability remains, possibly for the rest of your life.
Benefits under Living Care are index-linked once a claim has started and throughout the period of the claim, premiums will be waived.
Dental Care
Dental Care provides cover against the cost of both emergency and non-emergency dental treatment, irrespective of whether this is undertaken privately or under the NHS. Premiums have been kept at easily affordable levels by restricting cover so that we do not pay for routine treatments such as check-ups or replacement fillings. We provide generous limits for many other types of dental treatment, including root treatment, new fillings, extractions and dentures.
Travellers Care
Travellers Care is a comprehensive annual multi-trip travel insurance. Cover is provided for trips lasting for up to 31 days and unlike many other annual travel policies, it includes cover for both winter sports and scuba diving at no additional cost.
Generous limits are applied to all sections of the policy, including £5,000,000 for medical expenses and £3,000 for cancellation or curtailment.
xMortgage Care
Mortgage Care is our traditional accident, sickness and unemployment policy, providing cover for 12 monthly benefits, following the initial deferred period. The level of benefit can be arranged for up to 25% more than the monthly mortgage repayment amount, subject to a limit of £1,800 or 75% of gross monthly income, whichever is the lesser.
Income Care
Income Care provides clients with a monthly benefit in the event that they are unable to work as a result of accident or sickness. Benefits are payable for a maximum of 12 months following an initial deferred period of either 30 or 90 days. Monthly benefit can be arranged for any amount up to a maximum of £1,800 or 60% of gross monthly income, whichever is the lesser.
