- All groups accepted on this basis must be company paid
(i.e. the employee’s premium is fully paid by the company,
with no contribution from the employee).
- The policy must cover all employees within the chosen eligibility
criteria (e.g. all employees with more than 12 month’s
service, all senior managers etc.).
- Cover must be continuous between the existing contract
and the Universal Provident contract.
- CPME terms are only available to those members transferring
to Universal Provident at the start of the contract. Any subsequent
joiners will be subject to either a moratorium or full medical
underwriting.
- All members transferring on CPME terms must submit the
existing insurer’s insurance certificate showing the
full terms of acceptance and any specific medical exclusions
applied. In addition the following documentation will be required
for each employee:
- Groups of 5 to 9 employees – CPME application forms
completed by each member, giving limited information on the member’s
(and any dependants’) recent medical history. Additional
terms may be required as a result of the answers given.
