Universal Provident's aim is simply to provide affordable, effective private health care in a straightforward manner. Universal Provident has been in the business of health related insurance since 1994, and our experience has shown that flexibility is paramount to being able to provide the right product every time. Our accommodating and innovative approach means that products can be tailored to meet your specific requirements.

Flexible approach - we offer you options for the way in which we accept your application:
  • A moratorium means that you can take out our private medical insurance without providing your medical history. Your cover will exclude any conditions that already exist (known as pre-existing conditions) until a two year period of cover has passed in which you did not receive any advice, medication or treatment for those pre-existing conditions.

  • If you are happy to provide your medical history we will decide if any pre-existing conditions can be included or whether exclusions will be required. Exclusions are not always permanent and can be reviewed periodically. We will inform you when we confirm the terms of your cover.

And of course we offer the same personal service in our administration. We always put our customers first and promise to treat you courteously and promptly every time you contact us.
  • When you submit your application you can be assured that we will issue your policy documents accurately, within 48 hours, unless we need further information from you to complete the application process.

  • If you need to contact us we will treat you courteously and promptly and promise not to keep you holding on or pass your call to other operators unnecessarily. In the unlikely event that we cannot answer your query straight away someone who can help will call you back the same day.

  • If you make a claim you will be assigned a dedicated personal advisor who will be available at every stage to answer any queries you may have. There will also be a supporting team of colleagues who can step in for your advisor at a moments notice, should the need arise. This means that help and advice will always be available to you.
